How Lore started.

We’re a documentary studio built on a single conviction: that the capacity for serious thought, for genuine formation, for wonder, and for communion – the things civilization actually depends on – is what’s at stake in this moment. Not institutional relevance. Not market share. Something older and more important than either.

Film is how we say so.

Evan Rogers

Co-Founder · Director · Editor

Twenty-year film and television veteran. Director, editor, founder of Evan Rogers Film and Gradient Post Production.

His films have won Best Documentary at the Phoenix Film Festival and the James Beard Media Award. He’s currently in post-production on Headed East and The Mountain Will Protect Us, feature documentaries that demonstrate the standard of craft he brings to every Lore commission.

At Lore, he is Director and Editor — responsible for aesthetic and technical decisions from the first camera to the final cut.

Past clients include: HBO Max, ESPN+, Meta, Manychat, LinkedIn Learning, Peterson Academy, and PGA Tour.

Twenty years of professional craft is the difference between a film that earns its argument and a film that asserts it.

Christine Menedis

Co-Founder · Writer · Producer

Christine Menedis is a thinker and writer whose work begins where most analysis stops — at the level of the argument beneath the argument. Founder of Headed East Productions.

She spent years investigating the philosophical architecture beneath American political life, finding the through-lines serious thinkers had been building toward without yet naming. That work produced Why the World Doesn’t Make Sense (Forefront Books, Simon & Schuster).

At Lore, she is Producer and Writer — the work that happens before a camera turns on and continues through the final delivered frame. She enters a body of thinking and finds the load-bearing thread.

Decades of pattern-recognition across a body of thinking, plus the compression to state it at full strength, is what makes a Lore film undeniable.
